Steven began working in Remedial Massage in 2012 and has since been continually engaged in furthering his knowledge of the human body, its function and dysfunction. Steven is also passionate in learning techniques to re-establish balance, promote freedom from pain and increase mobility by being an advocate of practical means in self care and awareness. He utilises many techniques learned and adopted from great teachers as well as colleagues of his over the years.
From the time he spent apprenticing alongside Osteopaths, Shiatsu Therapists & Physiotherapists, he has been slowly building a repertoire and sensitivity to injuries & rehabilitation, performance-focused massage for athletes and gentler but effective approaches to pain and stress management when working with pregnant clients, the elderly or those suffering long-term chronic illness.
Steven is an avid practitioner of Hatha Yoga, Capoeira Angola, and Qi Gong. Those movement practices enable him to draw simple and effective routines and methods to counteract the effects of long days in repetitive work patterns or damage done through injury and/or weakness. He aims to combine his personal and professional practices to deliver well-rounded treatment that works well for his clients.
It’s a joy for Steven to share what he knows, loves and continue learning in order to assist people to feel, move and understand themselves with greater depth.
