Paul’s journey into massage therapy followed his successful career as a professional dancer, choreographer & yoga teacher. It was a natural progression for him due to his strong kinesthetic relationship with the moving body and heightened sense of touch, a trait incorporated into his massage treatments today.
While residing in London, Paul started his massage training in 2003. He acquired qualifications in Sports Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Hot Stone Therapy. Now back in Melbourne, he has added Remedial Massage & Myofascial Cupping to his qualifications.
Paul has gained extensive professional experience in the treatment of musculoskeletal issues. He operated his own massage business called PH Therapies where he treated athletes, dancers and busy working professionals.
During his tenure at one of London’s leading dance colleges he was asked to build a treatment department from the ground up. Its focus was to support over 400 dancers in intense vocational dance training. Acting as Treatment Manager his job was to educate and assist in the injury management / rehabilitation of the dancers. He employed a support network of experienced dance specialists including physiotherapists, osteopaths, Pilates instructors and other allied health professionals.
In the spa industry, Paul worked at London’s Bulgari Hotel where he created a choreographed signature treatment working with a composer to create a complimentary musical score for the treatment. Rhythmic touch and beautiful music were incorporated for a unique massage experience.
Paul is driven to help his clients better understand their bodies and what it takes to maintain a sense of internal balance. He understands the demands and stress we put on our active bodies. His aim is to keep you moving while also supporting your body to heal. Expect dynamic treatments with a deep tissue approach drawing on all the acquired massage skills Paul has to offer.
