Myotherapy & Dry Needling

Myotherapy & Dry Needling

Myotherapists assess and physically treat muscular pain, injury and dysfunction affecting movement and mobility.
Symptoms can include reduced range of motion of muscles and joints, stiffness, fatigue, headaches, weakness, numbness or a tingling sensation.

Dry Needling
Our Myotherapists and massage therapists practice a technique referred to as ‘dry-needling’, in the treatment of musculo-skeletal disorders.
Myofascial Dry Needling is a therapeutic technique involving the location of active or latent myofascial trigger points
in skeletal muscle and its associated fascia.
Once located, the practitioner uses a sterile needle to probe and de-activate each trigger point.

Dry Needling is a cost effective and efficient technique for the treatment of myofacial pain, injury and chronic muscular dysfunction.

The approach is based on western anatomical and neuro-physiological principals, not to be confused
with the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) technique of acupuncture. Dry needling is incorporated within the massage treatment.
